Beautifcation Beyond Borders with Unite by Night

Unite by Night is proud to be featured in the Black Rock Riverside Alliance's Paul & Helen Ellis Environmental Beautification Series 'Beautifcation Beyond Borders' series with our session: "Unite by Night & Public Art in Our Community." This series of presentations is focused on looking at different ways to beautify a community with one goal in mind, to encourage the audience to see and think about different ways our communities can become more beautiful beyond the borders of their own personal space. All presentations start at 6pm at 1902 Niagara Street, Buffalo, NY 14207 are open to the public, and are FREE of charge thanks to the generosity of the Paul & Helen Ellis Charitable Trust. Unite by Night is pleased to participate with our very own session, “Unite by Night & Public Art in Our Community” with Unite by Night members Emily Burns Perryman & Tom Vane. Buffalo’s public arts scene has exploded in the last few years. Murals and other unique art installations within every border of the city add color, texture, and unexpected inspiration to the our streets and public spaces. Propelled by the Public Art Initiative at the Albright‐Knox, Buffalo is becoming an urban museum of vibrant contemporary art that allows for self‐expression and civic beautification. Come hear a bit about public art’s ability to tell our stories, strengthen our neighborhoods, and stimulate appreciation of diversity and inclusion. Attendees will enjoy a snapshot of Buffalo’s public art scene and will be inspired to re-imagine both their neighborhoods and the perceptions of them.
